This opportunity to speak one-on-one with these health professionals allows our instructors to share details with our students to give them a realistic description of what is required of them, and what their employers are looking for in hiring a new receptionist.

As part of our Medical Office Assistant Program, you will complete your practicum working in a professional medical environment. Many of our graduates get job placement right after they graduate.

MOA Course Evaluation Methods

Overall mark based on successful result on weekly quizzes and final exam (which occurs on the last day of classes). Required practicum hours completed with a satisfactory result. Participation and attendance in class.

Students who have completed all specified requirements, as well as fulfilling the practicum portion of the program will receive a diploma from Medical Reception College BC. Upon receiving the diploma, students are able to pursue a career in the medical services profession with confidence.

The program duration spans 12 weeks, and is offered on a full-time basis, blended online and In class program.

Admission Requirements

Students must meet the following criteria.
The student has graduated from Grade 12.

Plus, all the following:

Successful interview with school administrator.

Successful result on a typing test administered by school administration 15 WPM.

Mature Admission:

Students must meet the following criteria.
The student has matured student status (is 19 or older before the start of classes.

Successful result on an aptitude test administered by the school (50%).

All students must have the following:

Submission of a negative TB skin test. If the skin test is positive, proof of a negative TB chest x-ray is required.

All students must complete a criminal record check prior to practicum placement.

If the School Administrator and the prospective student agree on a financial arrangement, they sign the contract.
All students should obtain a copy of the signed contract, along with a copy of all student policies to the student. (Program admission requirements may not be waived by the Institution).
